To help us schedule your appointment efficiently, we strongly recommend that your treating physician provide a referral letter and send any relevant medical records in advance.
Please note that special requirements apply to patients enrolled in a primary care physician model (Hausarztmodell) or other special insurance plans. In most cases, a referral is required. The specific requirements of your health insurance plan are binding and should be verified directly with your insurer.
Whether laboratory testing is covered by your health insurance will be discussed during the consultation and, if necessary, reviewed in advance. When there is an appropriate medical indication, the cost of a consultation at our Genetic Consultation Clinic is generally covered by health insurance (and in certain cases by Disability Insurance [IV]).
